Destination: Denver; pt. 3 Road to New Mexico

After recovering with a good night's sleep (although it was interrupted by the hotel people kicking us out at 10:45am) we set out to New Mexico.

About to head into a storm here.


Our first stop in New Mexico was the Wal-Mart in the City of Gallup. So many Indians (Navajos) here we had to get some pictures. For those of you who thought natives were extinct..be prepared for a glimpse into their main chill spot. Warning: do not be fooled by the modern attire.

First target...check out the tribal relic hanging on the rear view mirror there.

Too good.

Still reppin' that Navajo pride with the tribal necklace.

This guy was one of those bitter types. Its all good though since he was a Navajo.

And then there was this guy trying to blend in with his hat...WACK.

Not too sure on whether he was a Navajo but he seemed to have the wandering spirit so we felt he was fit to make the post.

As we pulled out of Wal-Mart I spotted her. Had to be done.


Had to drive through some flooded spots on the highway.


Of course the rain cleared up soon enough.


The sun came out, along with the hitchhikers.

This was a drive by shot so its not of the best quality but his left arm was held up with his thumb pointing east.


Just when we thought we were out of the Navajo area..we see this damsel!



Puttin' in some work after arriving in Chama, NM which is our resting spot tonight.

OWNED.

So tomorrow we'll spend maybe half the day here in Chama and then have a new post up tomorrow night from Denver, CO.
