Destination: Denver; pt. 2 Grand Canyon

Today was dedicated to an all day adventure at the Grand Canyon, one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

We had to pay for some park passe here, before we boarded the free shuttle.

Just arrived at the Grand Canyon visitor station.

Once we got to the Canyon we took the Kaibab Trail tour and this was our shuttle.

Upon seeing this sign we decided "hey let's see if we can make it to the river and back!"..not the smartest move ever, actually the dumbest. So we embarked on the trail with a half filled bottle of water.

Probably the most beautiful view/place I have ever seen in my life.

Colorado River...destination reached...just 6 miles back the way we came and we'd be back at the head of the trail! Sick plan, minus the fact that we were out of water...and did I mention 6 miles uphill?? We had a near death experience, literally.

Kinda lost the color from the first time we saw it entering Arizona huh?

This was the last picture I took at the Canyon, because we were trippin' too bad to even worry about pictures...we pretty much would have been dead at this place had it not been for some answered prayers sending generous people with water our way. Some amazing people gave Budd and I each a water bottle on our last stretch of the journey. I drank mine too fast and got sick but it was all worth it. The hike lasted 7 hours and was a total of 12 miles, pretty ridiculous but at least we got our workout in and learned a valuable lesson...DON'T TAKE WATER FOR GRANTED!

P.S. Sorry for lying last night we'll actually be in New Mexico tomorrow (way too exhausted to drive after our experience).
