Sunday September 7, me and Budd took a little treck down to Newport Beach to see the west coast premiere of Quiksilvers " Just Add Water". We arrived at the Orange County Performing Arts Center at like 4, and its safe to say we were a little early seeing as the movie didn't start until 8:30. Well long story short we chilled at South Coast Plaza till round 6 when we headed back to the theatre, and we were still the first people in line lol. Then we talked to a guy from Quiksilver who said that if we were'nt on the guest list we might not be able to get in. So we chilled and were stressin, and this is where the magic starts to happen bro. We met the HB High School surf teams coach who gave us VIP bracelets that he had gotten for the kids on the team cus he wasnt expecting all of them to come. Then we went inside scored some free rock stars and met up with some guys who work for Quiksilver in San Diego and chilled with them. There were so many big names in surfing there, CJ Hobgood 2001 WCT world Champ, Kai Barger, Strider(the CEO of Quiksilver)...and of course Clay Marzo.
so im feeling like im writing a novel so im gonna break this down.
- We left the lobby, went inside the main theatre and watched the film
- scored some free stuff like hats and t shirts
- a gimp won a Super Surfboard
- bumped shoulders with Clay Marzos hot sister
- watched Pinback play a set
- then to top it all of met Clay Marzo
This night was one for the Record books for sure
